Temporary voice
LiveOne channel to join, and everyone gets their own voice channel.
Set it up
A member joins the join-to-create channel: Axaro creates a voice channel named after them, moves them in and hands them the controls. The channel disappears as soon as the last member leaves.
/voice setup creates the category and the join channel in one go. An existing voice channel works too: just pick it in the dashboard.
| Setting | Effect |
|---|---|
hubVoiceChannelId | The channel you join to create your own |
categoryId | Where new channels go. Empty: the join channel’s category |
nameTemplate | The channel name, where {user} becomes the member’s display name |
defaultLimit | Slots when created, 0 for unlimited |
maxChannels | Channels open at the same time, at most |
The channel panel
Every channel gets a panel in its chat. Only the owner uses it — along with the server staff, who keep control over every channel.
- Lock and Unlock: only people already inside and guests can join.
- Hide and Show: the channel disappears from the list for others.
- Allow: lets named members in, even when locked or hidden.
- Block: keeps a member out, and removes them if they are inside.
- Rename, Slots: the name and the number of slots.
- Transfer: gives the channel to someone inside. If the owner leaves, another member can claim it.
/voice panel shows the panel again, for anyone who lost track of it in the chat.Who can join
A new channel copies its category’s permissions: in a category reserved for verified members, it stays reserved for verified members.
Locking a channel takes access away from @everyone, and also from every role that granted it. That is the most common mistake: on a server with verification, the “Member” role opens the category, and locking only @everyone changes nothing. Unlocking gives each role back exactly what the category gave it.
When the channel disappears
As soon as the last person leaves. A music bot left alone does not keep the channel open. If Axaro restarts while a channel empties, it deletes it when it comes back.
Joining and leaving the join channel in a loop does not create a channel every time: a member who already has one is brought back to it, and a new channel is created at most once every ten seconds per member.
